Info for encapsulators

If you are interested in learning more about offering encapsulation services, I highly recommended seeking training and certification from the Association of Placenta Preparation Arts, or APPA. They can be found at www.placentaassociation.com.

Placenta encapsulation is not a difficult process, but it does have potential risks for the mother, the encapsulator, and future clients if equipment is not sanitized properly. That is why it is so important for anyone processing placentas to have proper training in dealing with blood-borne pathogens, and knowledge about safe food preparation standards.
